Yoga Bhoga is a concept that reflects a balance between yogic spirituality and material pleasures and sensory delight.
This retreat is intended to provide space for this balance.
Our focus is to find the balance and harmony between awakening the body and the senses – yoga bhoga. We’ll explore and enjoy gentle vinyasa, yin yoga, as well as delicious food and wine. In response to society’s focus on hyperoptimization, we want to encourage you to slow down, to simply be and enjoy. This isn't a retreat to uplevel your skills, it's truly to give yourself a long weekend of joyful indulgence and loving one’s self.
Let’s settle into days of yoga and meditations, evenings of strolls, hot tub soaks, peaceful environments, and of course – guided wine tastings with selections from your esteemed hosts. Coming together to awaken the body, awaken the senses, and awaken the spirit in community with other inspired humans.

When you enter your Early Bird discount code at checkout (vinandvine2027), the $250 savings is automatically subtracted from your overall room balance. Your $200 deposit stays the same, and Momence automatically recalculates your remaining monthly installments to a lower amount.

The Big Questions
-
This is a tentative schedule:

4:00 PM: Check-in
5:00 PM: Welcome Reception in a private suite — introductions, gift bags, food, wine education, and hangs
The rest of the evening: go off and do your own thing or chill with the group or the cousins in front of a fire
Saturday, March 20th & Sunday, March 22nd
9:00 AM-9:30AM: meditation in our private suite
11:00 AM-12:30 PM: 90-minute yoga and sound bowl session - Gentle Vinyasa / Yin

5:00 PM-6:15 PM: Wine education and tastings in our private suite
6:30 PM-8:30PM: Dinner — we’ll have a suggestion for dinner, though you are welcome to venture on your own
Rest of the evening: Pool, hot tub, fireplace, snooze, solitude, stroll, etc.
Monday, March 22nd
7:30 AM-9:00 AM: 90-minute yoga and sound bowl session - Gentle Vinyasa / Yin / Meditation
11:00 AM: Check-out
Here’s the thing: sometimes we’re very comfortable making plans on the fly and having an array of options. Sometimes we’re more comfortable receiving the plan. We are creating space for both of these styles, and you have the freedom and agency to make changes as you like.
If you are comfortable taking an approach of doing your own thing, we’ll assist by providing you with some options of activities. If you’d prefer more structure, we’ll have structured ease during the afternoons and evenings.
We got you, boo
-
Clothes for comfortable movement
Jacket and layers — average highs in the 50s and average lows in the 40s — you’ll make good use of your fireplace!
Water resistant shoes and rain jacket if you’d like to go on nature walks/hikes or walk along the beach
Swimsuit if you’re interested in spa amenities, sauna, pool, or jacuzzis
Preferred toiletries, though your room will be equipped with shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion
No need to being your own yoga mat or wine opener (unless you have favorites)

Courtney & Shaye are cousins! They’re also your hosts.
Courtney is a registered, certified yoga teacher since 2013. She has led thousands of hours of yoga and meditation practice across public and private classes, teacher trainings, and international retreats. Her experience has taken her across the country from DC to Richmond to Austin to Portland as well as along the Appalachian Trail during her thru-hike in 2015. She is a wine enthusiast and at one point belonged to two wine clubs (Austin Wine Company and Rocklands Farm Winery in the DC area) — a solid investment of money, time, and joy. She is local to Portland, OR.
Shaye is a performer by heart and trade. She has been a professional joymaker for three decades from coast to coast. She also brings this joy to the knowledge of wine, having honed her skills at Michelin starred restaurants in New York City and in boutique wineshops in the Catskills. From tastings to pure hospitality, Shaye creates an exciting and fun wine experience. She is local to Brooklyn and the Catskills.
Fun fact! Courtney and Shaye are linked on IMDB
Fun fact! They share the same middle name! As do the other first-born girls for 3 generations
Fun fact! More than once, they learned they have friends in common despite never living in the same state

Since you’re here, I think you’re looking for a joyful long weekend spent with likeminded people in yoga, wine, relaxing, and nature. You might be looking for a nourishing environment, and we’re here to help
-
Kinda! This is the real deal, and also, everything is an illusion, baby
Practice and Preferences
-
Not at all! An established yoga practice is not necessary. You do not need to be flexible or to have “attained” postures or even have taken yoga classes. These classes will be led by an experienced yoga teacher with thousands of teaching hours and hundreds of hours of formal training. In addition, there will be yoga mats and props available to provide support in your practice.
Once you register, we’ll send you an intake form where you can share with us your experience with yoga, current or previous injuries, and any other relevant information that may inform your yoga practice.
-
Upon your registration, we will send you an intake form where we will ask you about your dietary restriction and allergies. Please also share any allergies you may have to essential oils. Most meals will be on your own, and you will have full control over your diet.
-
Nope! Our wine expert will guide you through wine making, the tools surrounding wine, the sensory experience of wine, and qualities of wine. You came to the right place.
If you’re already an expert, welcome! You will enjoy the entertaining presentation and engaging discussion as well as carefully selected wine menu.
-
Absolutely not! The focus of this retreat is mindful indulgence of the senses. If that means sleeping in rather than going to meditation or tippling a glass rather than going to yoga or taking in the sauna rather than participating in the wine-focused elements of the retreat, you are making the right choice!
Nothing is mandatory, and we are facilitating a space where you are comfortable to make the best choices for yourself. We’ll go over all of this during our Welcome Reception, as well.
-
Conveniently, no! The yoga shala is equipped with mats and props. If you would like to bring your personal mat, you are welcome to do so, but please know that they will be provided on site.
-
The vibe is — you do you, boo.
We recommend comfortable clothing to move in during our yoga sessions. These will not be power vinyasa classes, so you may want to bring layers especially for savasana (to the uninitiated: savasana is the long-holding pose at the end of a yoga class where you are very still).
For your other clothing, the highs will probably be in the 50s and the lows will probably be in the 40s. Bring layers, a rainjacket, and water resistant/waterproof shoes if you plan on taking any nature walks or stroll on the beach.
-
Welcome! We are so glad you’re here! Yes, you will fit in. We have carefully capped attendance to 12 retreat guests to ensure a small group of like-minded people. We’ll even have optional scheduled activities on Saturday and Sunday if you’d like to join Shaye & Courtney. You’ll come away with new friends.
